In the modern era, everything in the life is reshaping and getting advanced. People are entering into the modern world rapidly and changing the technology from its base. In the past people used to go and meet each other, travel for many days so that they could go for earning from one city to another as the trade was the common thing for earning etc. Further, in the past social life was much better as people lived in the family system and there was the interaction between them. In the modern age, technology is moving fast and inventing many different sources that catch the interaction of the people and making them away from the social life.
Furthermore, technology is no doubt helping people in many ways. In the modern life, people are communicating with each other from the far off places. They can send their important documents from one place to another place that is situated somewhere far in the map. Hence technology is helping the mankind and there are more positive impacts of the technology in the modern life.
Hence in this report, we will talk about the various aspects of the social trends and the changes that are brought with the help of social media. We will talk about the social trend in the regard of the business and how society is accepting the change in the trend. Furthermore, we will talk about the change that is being brought by the modern times. Furthermore, we will elaborate and observe the statistical reports that will help in understanding the social trends and the changes that are brought with the help of the social applications.
Importance of social life and social media:
Human beings are used to live in the social life where they can meet each other and share their feelings with one another. Humans are advancing rapidly towards technology that they are getting faster and are adopting the new ways to perform their daily work. Further, there is a need to share the feelings and the interests with the people around us. Hence everyone requires the social life.
Moreover, social life is extended in the modern world through the social media. Social media plays an important role in making the chain of the social lives of the people. Further, with the help of social media, people are getting aware of the hidden world and the places that exist far off from their home place. Hence social media is the basic source that is used to make people aware and people are advancing with the help of the social media.
Statistics and social trend:
Internet is the basic source that enables the people to bring the changes in the trends of the world (Bargh and McKenna 2004, p.2). Moreover, social circle extends if the one person has offered his services to the other and in return the other person pays appreciation and readily accept to do the services for the first person. Further, Blau (1964) explained this argument in his book argued that humans in this world are made for helping each other and the people in the modern times are looking for the ease which they find in the modern ways i.e. changes in the trends (p.4). Moreover, Tyler (2002) argues that with the increase in the technology, it has changed the attitudes of the people towards work (p.195). Hence people are using the modern means to resource their lives and changing the trends of the past times.
With the advancements in the social lives of the people, everything around the world is changing. Trend of the people towards shopping is changing and people are diverting towards the online shopping stores. Further, the success behind the online shopping is that it provides ease to the people as they have no need to go for the shopping. They get the ordered parcel at home (Price, 2014).
Furthermore, talking about the statistical reports, according to the statistics from the centre for retail research, people bought more than £17bn online. Furthermore, social trend of the social media is diverting towards the smart phones and the tablets for the online shopping. Stats show that an estimated 29.8pc of online shopping will be with the help of the tablets and the cell phones (Price, 2014).
Furthermore, marketing through social media is expanding all around the world and people are using the social media websites in order to achieve their target market. People are using the social media platform to advertise their products so that maximum users of the social media can view and buy. One of the examples of the social media ad is shown in the figure below.

Hence by observing the above figure, it is shown that there are different types of the social media ads that are being posted in the different social media apps. Further, such social media apps are changing the ways of the business and many business firms are advancing towards e-commerce i.e. selling their products through the social media apps.
In a report “the facebook ads benchmark” survey was done according to which stats shows that the social ad market may reach $11 billion and the expected year for this is 2017. Furthermore, advertising through the mobiles is also increasing. In the same report it was quoted that 12% of the people in the modern times are using social media apps through the cell phones. Hence there are large number of people that are using the social media as the source to buy and to sale their products.
Furthermore, most of the people are in the model world aware of the benefits of the social media networking. Social networking is helping the world to change the trend that is not suitable and liked by the people. Following stats shows the usage of the social media websites as shown in the figure below.

The above statistical figure shows the usage of the social media websites in which facebook is the website that is used by most of the people. There are many other social media websites too that are the medium for the people to stay connected with each other. However, the ads on the social media are the basic source to sell or buy the product. Stats in the above figure show the usage of the facebook users which is highest among all, so it will be beneficial for the seller to use the facebook as the platform to sale because there are maximum viewers of the facebook users (Duggan, et.al., 2015).
Furthermore, there are many apps and pages of the marketers that are being made on facebook and other social media platforms. The diagram below shows the statistical onformation about the pages that are likes by the facebook users and thus it benefits the product makers.

Hence from the above figure it is shown that the performance of the businesses of the people has increased due to the social media and in a nutshell social media is becoming the basic platform to change the trend of the business.
Moreover, in another report, stats were represent about the trends that are changed with the help of the social media platform. The diagram below will elaborate the importance of the social media.

In a nutshell, we have seen so far various aspects of the technology. Technology has brought many positive perspectives. We have discussed the social trends of the people. In the report we have studied the various effects of the social media and its benefits for the modern world. Furthermore, we have seen that how the technology using the social media has brought the revolution in the lives of the people. Moreover, we have seen in the paper that how the interaction between the people has been made better by the use of the social media applications. We have so far deduced that the social media has direct impact on the lives of the people. Social trend is made through the social interaction of the people and people are diverting the business to the social media platform that enables the social media societies to gather at one place and can change the old trend.
