In the tragedy "Oedipus Rex" (or “Oedipus the King”) Sophocles puts one of the most important issues of his time - the will of the gods and man's free will. Mythology, which served as the parent soil for classical poetry, especially tragedy, each tragedian gets its interpretation. Sophocles used in the plot of his drama the myth of Oedipus accident in order to show the collision will of the gods and the will of man.
