Introduction
Russian Federation’s undemocratic actions in Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea through military interventions in the region produced an international echo, as United States and European Union sanctioned the former Soviet Union. The sanctions limit Russia’s economic development, by prohibiting the imports and exports of goods, services and technology to or from other European and North American countries.
