A peanut butter and jelly sandwich probably have the easiest recipe that a meal could ever have. Moreover, it is the tastiest meal that everybody loves to have and enjoys a lot. There are a few simple steps that need to be followed in order to make the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The best thing about these sandwiches is the variations and other ingredients that can be added to these sandwiches to make them even more delicious.
The basic ingredients for making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich are bread, peanut butter, and jelly. The kitchen utensils and cutlery needed for it would be a knife and plate to keep the sandwich in and a clean flat surface, preferably a cutting board for putting the slices on.
First, two pieces of bread need to choose. Usually the first and last piece of bread is not chosen for the sandwich because they are crusty and drier than the rest of the slices. After choosing the perfect two slices one should place them on the cutting board, side by side evenly. This will help to place them together as a sandwich easily and they will match each other’s sizes. Some people would prefer to toast their bread in a toaster because it helps to keep the peanut butter and jelly in place, and the bread is less soggy that way; however, it is only a matter of choice.
Secondly, take out the peanut butter and jelly jars out from the refrigerator. There are many choices of peanut butter such as chunky or creamy and one needs to have tried both in order to know which one they like better. It is a matter of choice entirely. Open up the peanut butter and taking a clean knife, scoop some out from the jar and start spreading it on one slice of bread, evenly and preventing it from spreading towards the corners.
Use as much as peanut butter as desired, but not too much in case it gets heavy to eat. Use downward strokes of the knife so that it is applied neatly. Some people would put peanut butter on both the slices of bread so that after the jelly is applied, the sandwich does not get too moist and hard to eat. Then comes the jelly. Choose any desired flavor of jelly-like grape or purple jelly, whichever is one’s favorite. Take out some jelly and smear it on the other slice of bread, being careful in not applying it too heavily on the slice. Applying the jelly on both the sides would be a mistake because then it would be spewing out of the sandwich when someone would take a bite of their sandwich. Both the peanut butter and jelly must not be too little either because that would make the sandwich a dry one. Then put the slices together with the jelly on top of the peanut butter, evenly, so that there is a perfectly layered peanut butter, and jelly sandwich and the layers are clearly visible.
Lastly, if one would want, they can slice the sandwich into two pieces to eat it easily but it should sliced sharply so that the peanut butter and jelly do not ooze out. There, a perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich is ready to eat!
