Educators strive to be as close to the students as it is possible and there is nothing wondering. Such close collaboration would provide high level of education efficiency and, thus, high percentage of successful students. Students should have more time to communicate with their educators apart from major courses. Additionally, there should be engaged an educator or human resources so that they could take additional courses for effective work with the students. It would be quite enough at least once per week.
The data about students’ performance and learning would show that the more educators follow the instructions, the more efficiency of the students and institutional staff grows. Of course, hiring instructional coaches requires additional investments, as well as the salary of educators who need more time for the instructional courses. For the moment, about $30 million is allocated for the staff professional development purpose. These expenditures are provided not only for hiring instruction coaches, but also for hiring new teachers who would replace others while they are on additional courses.
Stipends as well as travel courses also require financing. Judging on the students’ data received in the process of implementation of the staff development strategy, one may see how effective it is and that following the instructions of people who know how to improve the educational process, educators and students may achieve greater success and educational progress.
Educators are motivated to follow the received data as for the progress and analyze them to show the efficiency of the staff development program. Thus, as society sees the effectiveness of the staff development technology, it finds it worth financing for the further development.
During the educational process it is of primary importance that teachers could understand what they are doing and for what purpose. The major goal of our district educators is to find out the main strategies for getting the best results and share them with the teachers of other regions. About ¾ of the educators are doing that and they are successful. Teachers analyze the data about the effectiveness of their work, and according to them they conclude what they can do better for making students study better. It is useful to have the results received after testing the students’ knowledge and on their basis make a decision of what is to be done to improve these results.
It cannot be said whether it is a better way to follow the standard and evaluate students according to one standard. In some cases making students study in a group of people with the same level of skills limits their opportunities to grow and develop. On the other hand, educators have the opportunity to analyze the level of knowledge of each and every student, and make a decision what is to be done so that improve the knowledge and make a student or a child to move forward. Professional learning helps educators not only collect the data, but also find the ways to utilize them.
The main point is that while an educator finds some difficulties with giving knowledge to a child, first of all, he/she should find out what he/she is doing wrong. Is it so important to follow the standard way of education, if it is possible to find an original approach to each and every child? Maybe it would be more effective.
