The decision taker must have inner feelings with a capability to take right decisions to solve any problems to utilize this factor in decision taking. It deals with the capability of dealing with someone’s emotions and recognize others emotions as well. It is important to understand the impact of emotional intelligence in decision making to understand the role of it. To become a good leader it is important to be emotional and intelligent. People come across different problems in their daily life and they are influenced by the mood or emotions they are carrying on at that particular time (Puffer, 2010). Hence emotional intelligence is the factor to success in decision making for any leader. It is the most important factor that a human must carry to get success in decision making.
Decision making is one of the major tasks for any leader. The decision maker must adopt different situations in his daily working life and may not stick to a single decision. This is because the problems changes with the change in the situations and there are several risks factors that are known will ongoing operations of the plans. Hence, with emotional intelligence, the decision maker adopts the ability to handle different situations.

To check whether the people are correct or wrong regarding the emotional intelligence is important for any organization. The organization needs to be selective while choosing the leaders for proper decision making for the organization.
There have been several evidences to support the importance of emotional intelligence in decision making for the leaders. Suppose a person driving his car reaches office after facing a minor accident on way (Härtel, Ashkanasy & Zerbe, 2009). He will be in mood of anger. This anger will influence the decision making of the person on that day. But if the person carries the quality of emotional intelligence, he will be able to forget his anger and take proper decision regarding the issue. If another example is being taken of an employee facing some problem with his daily working schedule, if the manager is able to understand the feelings of the employee and understand what exactly the employee wants he can take proper steps to solve the problem of the employee to enhance his performance that will further help to enhance the performance of the organization (Elias & Bruene Butler, 2005).
