Today it is difficult to find a more fashionable and discussion thread than globalization. She devoted dozens of conferences and symposia, hundreds of books and thousands of articles. Talk about it and argue scientists, politicians, businessmen, religious leaders, artists, and journalists. Speaking about the basics of this phenomenon, it may be noted that some of the features of modern globalization viewed for a long time. The roots of this process started at a time when the establishment of colonial empires laid the first foundations of international economic relations in this millennium. However, the current international economic relations that underlie globalization are fundamentally different from those that have been formed since the beginning of the Age of Discovery and the formation of colonial empires. Attitude to globalization is ambiguous, and sometimes diametrically opposed. Some see it as a threat to the global economy, other means of further economic progress.
The urgency of the challenges of globalization can not be doubted. It explores many economists around the world. Globalization breaks the traditional ties within the country to promote the degradation of uncompetitive industries, exacerbates social problems, as is becoming more uneven distribution of the benefits of globalization; it becomes possible to de-industrialization of national economies; does not exclude the transition of control over the economies of individual countries to the more powerful states, international corporations or organizations. Local economic crisis in one country can have regional or even global implications.
The most painful consequences of globalization may feel the least developed countries belonging to the so-called global periphery. It is, in particular, to increase the technological gap with the developed countries; growth of socio-economic differentiation and impoverishment of the general population; increased dependence on the current situation on the world market.
In addition, globalization extends and enhances US influence in the world. American political establishment uses the term to refer to his or her right to intervene in any war, walking in the area of the vital interests of the United States, by which is meant, in fact, the whole world. However, globalization has become a reality. But it must be considered to ensure economic growth and protection of national interests in the global economy. The number of supporters among researchers is growing globalization.
