Abstract

MBA is a program that provides various concepts to learn and various concepts to apply in the real world. This course has provided sound foundational knowledge on various subjects and courses, on the basis of which, I can apply them in the Capstone Project. I am well familiarized with the Scoring Guide and hence, would even like to follow them so as to achieve the desired expectations. I would like to generate the required outcomes out of the given project so that, all the expectations of this course are fulfilled. This report will discuss the subjects and courses that are taught in this field, which will help and guide me to complete my Capstone Project.
The entire course of MBA seems to be a great learning experience for me since it will help me at various locations and in various projects. The entire of the MBA program has helped me in developing various skills and abilities such as critical thinking, communication, problem solving, argumentation and presentation. I got aware of the various pedagogies through which the learning of MBA program became easy. It included the case study approach wherein, I was able to understand the case facts first and then was able to analyze the case from various perspectives.
Then, there had been a course on Integrated Global Marketing that taught us various principles on marketing and how to market products and services in different scenarios. During our capstone, this was one of the important subject for which the learning was utilized. We had learned the marketing concepts and theories, but we were able to apply it in out Capstone Project. In addition, there was another subject on Financial Accounting and Financial and Value Creation, both focusing on the concepts of finance. We were able to learn how finance was managed in a given organization from the ethical, tax, and legal perspectives.
One of the important subjects that became an integral part of our Capstone Project was the Data Analysis for Business Decisions. For any given project, huge data sets were prepared, but we could not utilize them unless they were analyzed through data analysis. We were made learnt about concepts of descriptive and basic inferential statistics, data acquisition and organization, and content analysis.
Then we were taught about Strategic Operations Management, one of the most important subjects in the field of MBA. This subject was like the back-bone of learning MBA. We were taught concepts on quality, design, inventory management, strategic considerations and many more. The focus was how to develop the strategies and how to implement them in a given scenario (Sparrow, 2012).
Then there had been subjects on The Global Leader and Business Integration skills, wherein the concepts of leadership and business integration were taught to us. We were now able to analyze the situation from different perspectives, and accordingly, were able to provide the required solutions to a given business case.
Project Planning, Management, and Financial Control was another important subject wherein, the focus was on how any project gets initiated, what are the different phases, and how it gets completed over a given period of time. Issues of costs, maintenance and monitoring were discussed, since they were the most important things to be learnt during this subject. Along with that, we also learnt about Assessing and Mitigating Risk and Project Procurement and Solicitation, which can be considered as subsidiary subjects to entire Project Management.
The Capstone Project provided me with an opportunity on testing my skills and identifying my abilities on working on real live project. I was required to deploy the concepts learned throughout the course of my MBA program. I was able to find out strengths and weaknesses and hence, I even planned to improve upon them. I now need to keep myself updated with the new knowledge so that, I can easily implement the new concepts in the real world. In addition, I also need to assess the outcomes of my Capstone Project so that necessary changes can be made and updated on regular time-to-time basis.
