In the process of changing the policies and procedures affecting children negatively, I will require active engagement in the application of different models of advocacy in action. I will apply the self-advocacy model where individuals speak out and represent themselves to support children. The model of self-advocacy will allow me to promote the skills and knowledge of Children (Association for Children International, 2011). Secondly, volunteer citizen advocacy model, where an advocate provides the unpaid service in the support of children affairs, will also end up applied.
