Abstract
As a law enforcement agency and a guardian of laws, police should be a bastion of moral beliefs and convictions that can resist any temptation to trespass on professional ethics and criminal law. Still, officers are often caught engaging in what is preferential treatment towards the residents of high social status or relatives. Whether under pressure or in attempts to win the favor of fellow officers higher in rank, morally and ethically unsound officers commit the crime.
