Yosemite is one of our country's most esteemed national parks. But, Yosemite's implication has not generally been acknowledged. Before 1890, just a little section of today's 1,200-square-mile park was ensured by government (Kaiser 87). With this information, before 1864, none of it was under the rule of law.
