The crisis managers have to prioritize the sufferers according to their ability to heal, and those who are crucially injured have to receive immediate medical attention so that their chances of survival can be enhanced significantly. The crisis managers have to practice leadership and motivational science in the darkest of times that one can experience.
They have to provide motivational anecdote to patients in order to promote the will to exist within them. The crisis management has more psychological nature than the physical one, and therefore, the healthcare professionals have to keep the fact in mind that they cannot do anything regarding their duty of saving lives, if the sufferers will not respond at emotional level. The phrases like “you can make it” and “hey, buddy stay with me!” can provide the much needed energy to patients that they could use in order to get through the impossible.
The psychological counselors remain in touch with their patients who can or have developed suicidal and homicidal tendencies, and therefore, they have to vent their anger and sorrow out with timeliness so that they cannot hurt themselves or others for the sake of argument.
Furthermore, humans are basically good, and therefore, they do not naturally like to hurt any living being. However, they become hopeless towards life and world because they do not receive help timely, and start to seek revenge from themselves or others. An excellent counselor is going to take a mind of the patient away from the problem for a while, and telephonic means of therapy can mitigate the feeling of loneliness and hopelessness because they are going to let the patient to have a therapeutic discussion when he or she needs it the most.
