The greatest creative realm of human kind is that of scientific advancement. Scientific advancement has the potential to change the fate of the human civilization. Human kind should henceforth aim at an invention that would be highly beneficial for the entire world. While there have been innumerable inventions to make life easy, the present researches need to embark upon a mission of revolutionizing the scope of research so that the world can be a better place to dwell in.
The scientists have succeeded in creating many vaccinations that nullify the effects of various jeopardizing ailments. While human kind works on one hand to ensure life and longevity, thousands meet with their untimely demise owing to the violence and terrorism inflicted upon one community on the other in the world. The two perspectives stand in stark contrast to one another.
What if we could take that leap from the mainstream inventions? Could we make something that could scientifically nullify the damage caused by terrorism? Could we make a drug to control aggressive behavior permanently that could be injected or taken orally by people? This might sound too outrageous or bizarre. But, it is not worth giving a thought?
Vaccines are something that is used globally against many ailments that are hard to deal with medically. We have vaccines for hepatitis, chicken pox, tetanus, and so on. Now think about this. Terrorism is the external expression of immense aggression. The terrorist activities or criminal acts that involve manslaughter take a lot of aggression on the part of the criminals. Aversion therapy was tried on individuals, but it did not work as per desire. Now, if the next generation invention could come up with something that could minimize the aggression level in human nature, would it not be something totally out-of-the-box?
It is widely known that terrorism involves fundamentalism and fanaticism. But, another major ingredient of the criminality is aggression. If people are given this vaccine or drug so that their aggression level is kept under control for life, it would mean that they would not engage in such terrorist activities.
Now, it would be really interesting if one could think more deeply. As per Sigmund Freud, violence is a very basic innate nature of human kind. Man as an animal has learnt to keep the aggressive side under control to comply with the societal normative behavior. Aggression is essentially an animalistic trait that makes a person lesser of a human being. The proposed drug would revolutionize the very animalistic essence of human kind. This means that the human race would traverse toward betterment.
If humans are to make a scientific discovery, why should we not aim at something that can transform human nature so that a person can traverse toward being close to perfection? The drug can keep the hormones under control, and can regulate the synaptic responses of human kind. It is obviously much easier said, than done. The drug needs to be prepared after extensive research and experimentation. Researchers from all over the globe can work together to prepare something that has the potential to not only eradicate terrorism and criminality, but also make human race tread on the path of betterment in the truest sense. Correct dosage of this drug can eradicate aggressive traits from an already aggressive individual. It can also nullify the chances of future aggression on the part of any other person.
Humans have created enough of the arsenal to destroy life on earth. A lot of money and research have got invested in creating the hydrogen bombs and the war machines. It is high-time to invent something truly revolutionary that could change the society and people for the better! People have taken enough lives, and a lot of blood has got spilt. It is time to be in peace. In a world that sees deaths every day being inflicted by fellow humans, may be a revolutionary vaccine against aggression can do what everyone envisages. John Lennon has said, “You may say I'm a dreamer / But I'm not the only one / I hope someday you'll join us / And the world will live as one.”
