Global warming is the most concerned issue all over the world today. All the countries in the world are unitedly facing this problem, and working together to solve it. Let’s understand the issue in brief. Global warming arises due to deficit in the ozone layer of the atmosphere. This gaseous layer protects the earth from harmful UV rays of sun by absorbing them. Due to pollution and deforestation, the layer of ozone is depleting day by day.
This leads to increase in the overall temperature of earth. Increased temperature leads to melting of the glaciers of south and North Pole. Due to that, the layer of sea water increases. Increase in sea water surface level causes natural calamities like tsunami and washing of the fertile land. Altogether, along with the environmental issue, global warming also created biological instability on earth.
This issue is completely man made problem. Due to selfish needs of mankind for personal comfort and industrialization, the increase in high-polluting gases and vehicular pollution has become evident. On the other hand, the land pollution, water pollution and noise pollution are added to the equation.
Various governmental and NGOs are taking many initiatives to solve this issue. One thing is clear, that global warming is like a bullet that has been fired, so it cannot be stopped or reverse. However, efforts can be made to slow the process down. With collective efforts for increasing the forest areas. Reeducation in pollution through awareness campaign and legislative modes, one can stop the further progress of global warming. This way the sudden changes in the atmosphere can be stopped. Furthermore, if the education and awareness that reaches to the individual level, then people can join for a single cause and come forward together to resolve it.
