Good Everything In Full Circle Essay Example

I have always been fascinated in shapes. When I was a child, I remembered that the most exciting part of a math subject was to count objects in different shapes: circle, triangle, square, rectangle, and oblong. Of course, these shapes would be bland without the colors: red, green, blue, yellow, and orange. I seemed to be magnetized to play toys with a circular shape: balls, frisbees, wheels of cars and bikes, and rainbow colored spiral toys. In my young age, I tried to rationalize my captivation for circles. I realized that somehow, life’s accomplishments are actually more effectively affirmed when I have reached a full circle. Nonetheless, the circle would not be fully appreciated without the presence of other shapes. Like works of art, shapes could be designed individually or integrated with others to create a harmonious and balanced art work, much like a pieces of a jigsaw puzzle or the architectural structure with intricately designed domes and pointed rooftops. I hereby assert that, although circles are more attractive to me as a geometrical shape, it would have been unrecognized with the presence of the others.
One of the simplest testimonies of this argument is a day’s work. As soon as my eyes are opened, I rise from the bed and do my day’s routine activities. Where ever and whatever tasks brings me, I usually end my day back to my bed. All my planned activities have been accomplished. Full circle. However, the challenges and difficulties encountered during the day add to the spice of accomplishing my tasks. These challenges are similar to crooked points of stone hedges, where the task of creating a magnificent structure out of their positioning has been acknowledged as one of the monumental arts in ancient times.
In addition, the stages of growth, for instance, is seen by many as a ladder. From infancy to old age, we have been observed to undergo growth and development in ways that bring us one step to the next in an ascending manner. True. I could not contest this. However, I strongly believe that as soon as we reach the top, the apex of the ladder, upon our transition to the next life, we still go down the ladder to step one. Again, full circle. In fact, some old people have been observed to manifest symptoms that apparently revert to childlike behavior. According to a research I undertook about the elderly, age or senile dementia symptoms include memory loss, difficulty in performing tasks, language problems, disorientation in time and place, tendencies to misplace things, and even manifestations of mood swings . These symptoms share similarities with those exhibited by very young children in their growth stage, confirming my full circle assertion.
In another aspect, I strongly believe that circles are most endearing of all the geometrical shapes for the reason that circles seem to indicate a feeling of warm embrace. There are no edges, points, angles, or lines that draw focus from one area to another. In a circle, every space is contained or enveloped within. I see the space as an endearing love of a mother, or a protective support from a figure of authority: a father, boss, teacher, or Divine Power. It could be seen from friend sharing a cup of tea and a donut for the afternoon snack. When I am in a circle, whether be it in an academic class, a work setting, or in the comforts of my home, I feel safe.
These justifications make me a circle-loving person. I have a small circle of friends who I get to share my innermost secrets. I love giving warm embraces to my loved ones and look intently at their round glowing eyes with a smile. Amidst all of these, I recognize that my friends love other shapes: triangles, rectangles, squares, or a combination of all. Our combined differences enable us to create wonderful memories together. Recognizing this make experiencing life in full circles more fun and rewarding.
