Rosetta, name given to a spacecraft, is one of the spacecraft of all time, despite the amazing spaceships designed over the years. Over ten years, Rosetta travelled around the orbit, more than four million miles just to rendezvous with Comet, 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. It's amazing speed of about 84,000 miles per hour is another feature that makes Rosette one of a kind. The fact that it has taken so long to land on the comet hoping to find a suitable spot (Gould and John 409-410). Despite its inspiring features and time, that it has taken to complete its mission, Rosetta is itself a huge feat and has entered orbit with almost no gravity due to the nature of its body. Notably, Rosetta is a European Space Agency; a product ESA is proud off.
ESA established Rosetta for the purpose of answering questions about space that people seem not to understand over the years. Thus, ESA established a spacecraft, filled with scientific equipment, laboratories, ovens and harpoons (Assessment of Mission Size Trade-Offs for Nasa's Earth and Space Science Missions 37-40). All this was meant to take samples of the Comet and analyze them back on earth. Rosetta carried 11 scientific instruments, where Philae carried 10 of them. There were many expectations of Rosetta, just before we knew the Philae’s fate. The level of gravity, which was the main challenge for Philae landing. Was done away with and ensured Philae landed without hitting the surface, which was said to the achievement of half the mission (Gould and John 409). Once Philae left Rosetta, it might take 6-8 hours of landing on the Comet surface. Regardless of Philae not lasting for long during the mission, still, there was much result especially in between the time of separation between the two. It was one of a kind mission, which was a unique project just like the Apollo landing.
Rosetta mission can be said to be more scientifically. It is more of astronomy too, following the landing and the creation of Rosetta and Philae itself (Assessment of Mission Size Trade-Offs for Nasa's Earth and Space Science Missions 37). The Rosetta Mission itself began in 1996, which was almost ten years since the planning and arrangement of the mission began. However, the launching only marked a step towards completing the mission, when the actual project and landing of comic began in 2004. The results of the project were obtained late 2014, precisely November 2014.

As per May this year, there will be fewer results due to the re-awakening of the Philae. However, whether it awakes or not, still, the results from the Rosetta are enough to study the orbit, with some of its mission extended to late this year and 2016. Thus, Rosetta mission could be said to be one of a kind. No mission has come close to its planning, and the results obtained, a project that will help scientists and astronauts know more about the space. Who knows, Rosetta will re-awaken the astronaut's dreamers and give them more desire to design more spacecraft and desire to learn more about space.
