The following is an annotated bibliography that includes a truncated list of references that highlight better ways of eradicating world poverty. It entails references on books that critic the approaches currently used to fight the poverty. The books ascertain the fact that the world poverty is a matter of great concern to the global world. The collected books point out that poverty is a national disaster, thereby; the world should initiate immediate and workable approaches that intend to solve the poverty. A collection of books is to aid in discussing better ways and approaches that will assist the world to solve the looming world poverty effectively. The paper purposefully uses literature over a period; ranging from 2006 to 2013.
Similarly, selection of the time is purposeful and accurate, for instance, first selection starts from 2006 while the last selection ends on 2013. Enhancement of a quality selection of literature is on the basis of relevance to the eradicating world poverty. The selection captures ways of fighting poverty and best approaches and strategies needed to fight poverty. Moreover, the materials offer a broad range of viewpoints from a wide perspective, thus reducing the likelihood of partialities in the books. Ultimately, the organization of the work and flow of literature is taken into consideration as well.

The book points out that the best ways of eradicating the looming world poverty is to initiate workable assumptions and principles. Banerjee and Duflo agree with the concerted efforts of NGO’s and myriad charitable organizations that intend to assist the poor. However, the authors argues that the assumptions used by the said organizations are untested and a mere generalization. In view of the above, the authors pioneered the use of the random control trials in addressing the global poverty. The authors strongly believe that the use of the mentioned trial is a sure way of providing a lasting solution to the astronomical world poverty (Banerjee & Duflo, 2011).

To make the reader have a clear picture on how to eradicate the poverty, the book provides case studies and exciting stories with primary aim of involving the reader. The book went further to provide amiable advice on how the reader can take part in eradicating poverty in the poor nations. From the book, we learn the efforts of charity workers and other volunteers. The literature also lures the reader to take part in the eradication of poverty.

The book elaborates the fact that the world has experienced an increase in economic growth. However, there is significant number of people who are still poor. Karnani arguably points out that the increase in economic growth is not enough indication for decline in poverty. The author strongly believes that it is only through invention of effective strategies that will assist in reducing the world poverty. The author blames the approaches that are currently used in fighting the poverty. In view of the above, the author proposes an extensive approach to poverty reduction. The mentioned approaches explain that the government, business, and civil society have an important role to play in the reduction of poverty.
Karnani clearly explains that the best way to eradicate poverty is to create job opportunities for the poor. Through the creation of the employment, the poor will be gain the financial independent. The said independence will exterminate the donor funding and other unworkable efforts of reducing poverty. The author affirms that there should be equality in the provision of basic public services for all people in the world (Karnani, 2011). Additionally, the author argues that business should only provide beneficial products and services to the poor at affordable prices. The author further advises the government to regulate the market continuously, as such, protect the vulnerable consumers: the poor.

The publication of the first document was in the year 1997, followed by the second document in the year 2000. The book highlights the existences of abject poverty in developing countries and provides better means of solving the poverty. The book clearly sets out the government’s intensive plan to deliver on the development policy. The book takes us aback with an aim of elucidating the commitment made by the government in 2005. Through the book, the author exemplary explain how the government intends to deliver on the commitment made in 2005. The book further points how the government collaborates with United Nations, European Unions, World Trade Organizations and the G8, with aim of combating poverty.The author clearly elaborates the key and major challenges for international development. The mentioned challenges include good global governance, threats posed by climatic change, international peace and security, and achievement of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The author went further to demonstrate how the government intends to address the mentioned challenges and specifically ending the world pervasive poverty (Masterman, 2006). The book further highlights the specific policy commitments, just to mention, but a few, government is working incessantly to clear 100% multilateral and bilateral debt for poor countries. In addition to the mentioned commitment, the government intends to focus on achieving the MDGs. Moreover, the government intends to adopt a new quality governance assessment in the allocation of United Kingdom aid. The author strongly believes that if the government engrained in the mentioned commitment then world poverty will come to an end.

UK: Transaction Publishers.The author explicitly demonstrates that poverty in the developing countries has impeded the poor to access quality healthcare. Steven in his book joins the public debate on the global healthcare issue. The book openly criticizes the government top-down intervention as a solution to the significant health problems. The literature relates the top-down interventions to harmful policies that cannot address the challenges in the healthcare. Steven further put blame on the NGO’s and UN agencies for adopting the top-down interventions practiced by the government. The book also explains that the UN agencies and other NGO’s have diverted all the resources in addressing the politicized HIV/AIDS. The book wisely demonstrates that the mentioned organizations have neglected several treatable diseases leading to unavoidable deaths in poor nations.
Steven clearly elaborates that the centralization mindset coupled with the allocation of myriad resources in addressing AIDs will further aggravate the poverty in developing nations (Steven, 2011). The author elucidates that the best way to reduce the deaths and poverty in developing nations is to decentralize our healthcare system. Furthermore, the author strongly believes that the government together with UN agencies must evince equality in distribution of resources to all the diseases ravaging the poor. The author accolades the impact of economic growth and globalization in improving the human health. According to the author, for the globalization process to be complete the poorest countries must be involved, as such leads to the eradication of poverty in developing nations. The book as, therefore, provided better ways of eradicating the diseases of poverty in developing nations. The book also provides ways of combating poverty in the poor nations.
