Interpersonal violence is the most besetting problem in the poor inner-city communities of blacks. This violence is usually accompanied by aggression and it normally wrecks havoc on a daily basis in the lives of communal residents. Interpersonal violence also increasingly spills over to the downtown and residential middle-class individuals. Drug-related shootings, muggings, carjacking, and burglaries have become common enough and have raised concerns among suburban and urban residents. Circumstances like poverty, unemployment, racism, drug use and abuse and lack of hopes for the future are all blamed for high rates of violence among residents.
Living in areas of violence places young people at risks of falling victims of bad behaviors like aggressive ones. Forces in the community that counteract negative influences in life are not considered to be as powerful as being strong, decent, loving and committed especially for families. Good people should stick to middle-class values because the despair here is pervasive enough to spawn a culture that is oppositional like for streets. The culture of the street is usually considered to be opposed to the mainstream society.
Youngsters with homes that reflect mainstream values get to handle themselves as those in the street thus the whole society is Street oriented today. This happens because the street culture has evolved a code of the streets. It amounts to informal rules that govern interpersonal, public behaviors that include violence. Street culture can then be blamed for issues of violence and aggressiveness.
In concluding, I agree with the information put before regarding interpersonal violence. It is true that violence is common among the poor, and this could be because of lack of sufficient needs and it leads to aggressiveness. Violence occurs on a daily basis and usually wrecks havoc in societies, communities, families, nations and to individuals. Some people begin violence when they are old whereas others become violent because of their upbringing. Youngsters who grow up in areas of violence are likely to become violent in the future, and I agree with the information. Street culture has also overtaken specific cultural practices, and most people tend to behave the same as per the cultures they acquire in the streets.
