Abstract
This paper looks at the dynamics of therapeutic groups. A group model is developed, and its purpose and goals are analyzed. The role of leaders and how they help in coordinating the functions of the group is discussed. Member roles are also analyzed and how they impact on the functioning of the group. The norms and values of the group model are looked and the factors that promote group cohesion (Klein, Knight, Ziegert, Lim, & Saltz, 2011).
