Example Of Bullying In Schools, Is It The Teachers Or The Students? Argumentative Essay

Introduction

Within the last 7 years, bullying has become an epidemic where the various kids pick on the weak and honor the strong. Most people would agree that bullying is a disease that needs to be destroyed at its source, if all of the bullies got taken out via by expulsion then no more bullies would be born so to speak. Kids bullying other kids has sadly become a common theme at most schools, most teaching officials expect to receive daily complaints from parents as well as a daily visit to the principal’s office because Mike Reiner is and has been bullying Mitchell Steinberg for some time. Now, kids bullying kids is something that, as was mentioned previously, a common theme of the evening. Teachers bullying kids is at once a complete falsehood and a non-existent rumor, so one would think. However, teachers bullying students have become a nationwide scenario and the pandemic of that has been spreading like crazy, like a bad rumor in the girl’s locker room. According to McEvoy (2005), “teachers are supposed to be protectors of the bullied not become the bully, it is appalling that school systems are ignorant and negligent to these affairs” (McEvoy, 2005, pg. 3). It is not so much teachers bullying to gain control, it can be argued that they do it to reinforce the ideal that they can do it because they can which is an over-abuse of their power. Ironically, teachers will back up other teachers saying that they are not bullying, they are “teaching” which is far from any teaching method ever introduced. A teacher can be as brutal and bad as any child bully, it is not fair that kids have to take being bullied by a teacher.
