A Critique of Current Information Literacy Theories and Standards

The low literacy experienced in the healthcare department, consists of lower levels of communication and plans from the individuals who do not access health care services from the professional facilities. The recognition factor on how culture plays a basic role in the healthcare department, provides a hint on the literacy programs, such as construction of the wellness and fitness facilities to help with the mobilization of such activities, and the adherence to the programs, from the performance of the staffs.
The decision making process for patients highly depend on the level of awareness created from the productive workshops and work plan they read, and learn from the modernized technological views. Patients should have access to quality health care, be in a position to analyze the benefits of healthcare services through diagnosis processes for the same reasons, communicate closely with the health providers who will suggest the right channel of dosages in case of chronic infections, and advise on the long term solution. The information from the healthcare facilities should be from a credible source, so as to create assurance for the proper working action of the program. Once the patients locate the right health facility and information, strategizing on the literacy plan will be effected from the ideologies presented.
In order for the individuals to confidently approach these tasks, they are required to be literate in visualize awareness and appearance, for an effective communication plan based on the knowledge from the quality services. The patients should be computer literate too, to access the information in the simpler manner. The patients should be able to communicate the symptoms to the health readers, in the right channel, and access accountability, from the strategies impacted.
