Susan Reverby’s book ‘Examining Tuskegee: The infamous syphilis study and its legacy’ has long been termed as giving insightful information about independent bodies. After the outbreak of the deadly disease, the resources soon run dry, forcing the organization to watch from a distance without initiating any treatment. On a later date hen this was revealed, there was a general perception that the government as not doing enough to protect her citizens in terms of health. Although this is the case, the book also helps one to understand better or to challenge certain aspects in the society. For the purpose of this paper, the book will be used to understand or challenge the documentary: The Deadly Deception’.
The Deadly Deception is a documentary that puts much emphasis on freemasonry and some of the world leaders that engage in such a practice. In a nutshell, the book digs deep into religion to expose some of the rots in the society. As the author realizes, both the pagans and Christians tend to be similar or have a common trait. In her book, Reverby talks about ignoring individuals who do not respond to treatment as a method of saving money instead of paying hospital bills. The two materials educate an individual on the power of being independent and making one’s decisions. Freemasonry also entails this move, with the core aim being to lead a successful life. As Riverby argues, this should never be the case. By comparing the modern-day practice in senior positions in the government to those n churches, it is apparent that there are no major differences. When this is the case, there is no doubt that individuals take a back sit and watch as events unfold.
