Managerial rolesMintzberg have identified 10 different roles that are performed by managers, which include “Figurehead, Leader, Liaison, Monitor, Disseminator, Spokesperson, Entrepreneur, Disturbance Handler, Resource Allocator and Negotiator” (Ramezani et al, 2011, p. 560). Among the roles listed above, the first three belongs to interpersonal group, next three roles belong to informational group and the remaining four belongs to decisional group.
Interpersonal category generally includes all tasks involved or associated with people.Figurehead – Manager is authorized to perform various formal procedures or observances.
