Observe A Place

I decided to observe the entry gate to an office tower of twenty floors that consists of many different types of offices including a hospital, a Chinese company, and a television channel office. I sat on a lawn near the entrance to the office. By 8:50 a.m., employees, started to gradually arrive in their cars. Some were dropped by cabs, others by their own chauffeured cars – an aspect that lent a background to the designations of this personnel in their companies. Gentlemen arranged their ties and coats while walking towards the entrance while all the ladies paused walking to adjust their clothes and check their shoes and hair.
As the office starting time neared, more hurried entries were made while the security guards at the entrance stayed more alert and quickly scanned the bags of all the entrants. After a while, a limousine stopped by, and a supposedly high official walked out of it. The guards offered a salute and let the gentleman walk by without checking his brief-case. The sight explained that he was probably the owner of the building. As there was also a maternity hospital inside the building, pregnant ladies started to arrive after a while for their appointments. Their husbands held their hands, carefully leading them on the path towards the entrance.
When the rush hour finished, the guards were offered a chance to relax. Just then, a media van pulled up, and a cameraman and a reporter strutted out of it, probably after delivering the latest news of the day. They looked like they had not slept all night as they were on night duty and were there to return the office equipment before taking the day off.
