The test I took is simply called the Short Personality test. It takes only two minutes to take. From the website hosting it, it claims to be “Very accurate.” It is apparently not just a test for diversion, but a “real test given by the Human Relations Dept. at many of the major corporations today” (PastorPauley, n.p.).
This test is addressing personality aspects which have to do with the “calmness” or lack thereof of the subjects. With questions that deal with the speed of walking or how a person carries themselves, the questions are certainly not seeking too much depth, but can tell a decent amount of person by both how they walk, and also how they perceive themselves as walking. The options for question two, “You usually walk” the answers include, “a) fairly fast, with long steps b) fairly fast, with little steps c) less fast head up, looking the world in the face d) less fast, head down e) very slowly.” A question like this can certainly provide insight into the intensity a person carries with them in their life. Some people, might also answer the question inaccurately because of how they perceive themselves over how they actually are, but even that provides some insight into that person’s psychology.
It has to do with the course in that it categorizes people into different personality types, which is a good shorthand for navigating through the different demeanors of people. The test seems to be addressing a person’s demeanor, which the scoring separates into six different categories. The scoring is based off an Under 21 to Over 60 points score. The categories are written in such a way as to not be negative, but there are certainly some extreme categories, which could be called a negative personality. If a person scores over 60 points then it says that others see you as someone that they should “handle with care.” The middle categories are mostly positive, either a person is seen as charming and amusing (41 to 50 points) or they are seen as sensible, cautious, careful & practical (31 to 40 points). The lower end of the extreme, like the higher end of the extreme, could likewise be considered a negative demeanor, since “your friends see you as painstaking and fussy” (21 to 30 points. On the lowest end, under 21 points, “People think you are shy, nervous and indecisive.”
The strength of the test is its simplicity. As stated in its directions, it can be taken in two minutes. It seems to be able to provide a quick overview of a personality without going into any depth. Its faults are the opposite interpretation of its strength. Because it is rather short and can be taken in such a short amount of time, it seems rather unsound because of its brevity. It is difficult to really get a firm grasp on a person in a test that takes less than two minutes. The test’s faults are also that it does not appear to have any questions to catch people trying to manipulate the system and come up with results that repackage themselves, as they would like to be as opposed to how they actually are. The test claims to be extremely accurate, but it should be realistic in what it is able to do with such brevity.

  10. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1

Now add up the total number of points.

OVER 60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care" You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure.  They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It'd really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused
partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything.  They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.
