Wolf of Wall Street is a movie that combines comedy and crime and was released in America in 2013. The main character Jordan Belfort gets a job at a brokerage company and after a while he decides to start his enterprise. He takes a business partner, Donnie Azolf, and together they begin a company called Stratton Oakmont. Stratton Oakmont becomes immensely successful through the methods of making money are illegal. The Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) begins to investigate them and eventually they are all arrested (IMDb, 2013). Organization behavior concepts visible in the movie Wolf of Wall Street include; Idealized influence, inspirational motivation (IMDb, 2013). Jordan Belfort used the idea of Idealized influence to make his employees work very hard. He would show off his wealth and success so as to influence them to want to be as rich as he was. Belfort played with the minds of his employees and made them believe that one can become rich in a short period. The other concept, inspirational motivation was seen in the way Jordan Belfort was free with his employees. His employees were free to talk to him about anything at any time. He inspired and motivated them to be able to convince clients to come to their organization (IMDb, 2013). The Wolf of Wall Street depicts that organizational behavior is both internal and external. Jordan Belfort was able to influence the performance of his employees by showing them how successful he was and that it can also happen to them. On the other hand, Jordan was able to learn the thoughts and feelings of his employees by being open and free with them then motivating them to work extra hard (IMDb, 2013).

Organizational behavior that can be seen in Achievers includes; Goal-setting theory where the company’s management holds regular meetings where they tell the staff about the progress of the company. The ensure the staff gets information first hand to avoid them receiving rumors that there might be something wrong with the company then they become demoralized (Profitguide, 2015). The other concept applied in Achievers is Emotional Intelligence Theory: Intelligence. The management of Achieves encourages its employees to be free and talk about issues they are going through. Additionally, the company tells all its employees everything that pertains to the company and not like other companies where only a few know what is going on leaving others in the dark (Profitguide, 2015). Goal setting theory: Motivation and Social Cognitive Theory The student A in my group is motivated and a goal-oriented individuals. He always sets goals for himself, and he works hard to make sure he achieves them. These achievements are what motivates him to set other goals. This student also follows all the instructions given to him by the group leader and he is always ready to learn and accept to be corrected (Myorganisationalbehaviour, n.d.). Personality type A and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Definition and Herzberg’s Two Factor Theory: Motivation The second student has a positive personality that allows her to perform well.
