One of the most inspiring television personalities living today, Angelina Jolie is not only a heart-throb but also a very soft-at-heart person whose contribution to charity projects is also immense. She was mainly an actress whose remarkable work attracted the attention of the whole world. Moreover, she has been named the most beautiful woman in many rankings, including the 2005 ranking of People’s Magazine (“Biography”).
Jolie was born to parents who already had an acting background. Her Oscar-winning father, Jon Voight was enough to give her the direction that she was going to take in the future. Her mother was a study fellow of Lee Strasberg, an illustrious acting. It was therefore not a surprise when Jolie ended up in an institute in the name of this teacher to study theatrics. At the age of sixteen, Jolie was already exploring the world of modeling. However, her major leap forward came in the form of a movie by the name of ‘The Bone Collector’ (1999). Once in media attention, there was no stopping Jolie from touching the skies.
However, Jolie was never bowled over only by acting and movies. While shooting for one of her movies, she visited Cambodia. There, she saw poverty on a massive scale, which propelled her towards another journey of life. Her charitable efforts led her to become Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) (“Biography”). Her sincere efforts were seen when she adopted a Cambodian refugee boy as her child and then later, an Ethiopian refugee girl and a Vietnamese boy. She had the best of both worlds by marrying Brad Pitt, another famous personality and had twins with him too.
Angelina Jolie’s story is inspiring for all those people who want to make a difference in the world while doing something that they love.
