There are four fundamentals of physics that have been known to exist. The four fundamental forces include gravity force, electromagnetic force, the weak force and the strong force. The strong force is the force responsible for binding of nuclei. This force is the most dominant force as it decays almost all the fundamental particles. The strong force is responsible for the binding and stabilization of protons with similar charges with the nucleus. However, this force is a short range force. This force is also basically attractive. The electromagnetic force is the second strongest force. This force is defined as the force that exists between particles which possess an electric charge. A clear illustration of this force is when the electrons which are negatively charged bind with the nucleus of an atom as a nucleus has protons which are positively charged. This electromagnetic force is long range and extends over infinite distance. However, the strength of this force diminishes as a result of any shielding effect.
The weak force is the force accredited with decay processes that involve the fundamental particles. This force has a very short range and is thus referred to as a weak force. The fourth force is known as the gravitational force. This is the weakest force but has the longest range. This force acts even in the void and tends to draw two masses towards each other. In addition, this force is accredited with keeping the planets in an orbit around the sun as well as the moon in an orbit around the universe. It is cumulative and extends to infinity. This force holds us onto the earth. Of all these four forces, two of them are familiar and others unfamiliar. The electromagnetic and gravitational forces are familiar forces as they are experienced in our daily lives. However, the strong and weak forces are known as unfamiliar forces as they are not always experienced in our daily life.
The interaction all these four forces have been critical in the formation of all elements that are known to exist in the universe. However, in cosmology, the most influential force amongst the four forces is the gravitational force. There are principles behind this proposition. One is that the gravitational force is long-ranged and can therefore act over cosmological distances. In addition, this force supplies a force that is able to attract any two pieces of matter in the world. Nevertheless, the interaction of all these forces is accredited with forming almost all masses. In details, the gravitational force pulls as to the surface of the earth, keeps all the planets revolving around the sun and is responsible for the formation of stars, planets and galaxies.
The electromagnetic force is credited with expounding how matter generates magnetism and electricity. The two aspects of magnetism and electricity are very useful in our daily life of home appliances. The strong and weak forces are responsible for holding atoms together and radioactivity respectively. A combination of all these forces is known to make and generate all objects of matter in the universe. These fundamental forces are known to combine in times of high temperatures and disintegrate when there are low temperatures. As the forces disintegrate, they form objects that are known to exist by man. The processes of decay are also very helpful in creation of matter that would not have existed previously if decay did not occur.
