There is little doubt about statement that Paris is a marvelous place. It is impossible to fall in love with the firs glance in this melodious city of love, with its small and cozy streets and alleyways, with its funny people and gorgeous women
It was a warm, summer day, when I sauntered through the town, inevitably admiring the beautiful masterpiece of French architecture. It was a very hot day and I thought nothing could cool me off. But then, I saw a calescent column in the center of recently totally another place - The July Column. I entered the Place de la Bastille – the former place for famous Bastille Prison. To be honest, it was a horrible place and a lot of my friends were terrified not to get there. The shadow of this gigantic column covered me up to the hilt and it got me gooseebumps. The feeling that was coming from Place de la Bastille was sensational. Knowing that this place was built not very long ago, it was still visible that here were a lot of deaths and battles. (Ermengem) Here and there one could see traces of fights. It also was astonishing in what quality the façade was and how masterfully was made both the square and the column.
It goes without saying that even that this very square was a place for an epic battle; this place is really a symbol of freedom and symbol of people’s power.
