The highest percentage of internet users is in North America. The reasons can be easy access and affordable rates.

Uses of the Internet:

It is a cornucopia of information for the purpose of education and research.
It offers the most convenient method of communication.
Emails and instant messaging are used to communicate with offices.
The time and expense to carry out regular meetings has reduced due to the option of video conferencing.
Doctors can treat patients through video conferencing if the patient belongs to a remote site (Casey, 2012).
Social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter keep everyone connected at all times.
Internet also offers the opportunity to shop online.
It is easier to draw comparisons and select an offer with the lowest price.
Shopping can be done at one’s convenience as the website can be accessed at any time during the day.
Cash on delivery system makes it accessible even for those who do not own a credit card or think it is dangerous to use one over the internet.

Internet is an abundant source of entertainment.

Listening to new music and keeping in touch with the latest tracks has never been easier.
Novels are also available over the internet.
Internet banking has removed the need to stand in long lines in front of the bank.
Internet has been a source of employment.
The configuration and maintenance of the internet in every organization needs computer experts.
Every person is looking for a job posts CVs on online job portals. Profiles on LinkedIn and similar sites are created.

However, there are also issues associated with the Internet.

Hackers gain unauthorized access to systems in order to destroy or steal data.
Different computer viruses are circulated by the miscreants.
