Good Example Of Sampling In Homeland Security Research Critical Thinking
The research is conducted on the ethical principles of guiding Information and Communication Technology Research. The methods used are interviews and meeting with the people working in the environment of Information and communication technology such as managers, policy makers and administrators.
There are many types of sampling but the report uses Multi-Stage Sampling in which they have divided the population into different stages or age groups which makes it easy to reach the desired population in less time (Babbie, 2013). People were asked several question regarding information system and technology. Multi-stage sampling makes it easier to research individuals by with different income level, sex, race or any method that could help in gathering information.
A representative sample is the one that uses a subset of a statistical population that reflects the members of the entire population (Brown, Peters, & Nyarko, 2014). The report has used representative sample, and the target audience of the report are the administrators, policy makers, and others who are responsible for implementing the communication systems and technology. In addition, the report uses qualitative research method; it uses different academic disciplines and market research in order to get the authentic results as real as possible (Denzin & Lincoln, 2011). The research also studies some trends, rules, and systems of the earliest years of communication systems.
The article or report does not recommend particular enforcement system over ethical practices. But it is intended to improve consistency in analysis of ethics for the organization and people together. The research method is ethical as the people of different age groups belonging to the system are asked for their opinion and views on the communications system.
