It has been witnessed that business communication is something that must mean to you as it carries a future of organization or individual. It is believed that efficient managers can lose their efficiency and repute by weak communication skills especially poorly managed communications like seminars, business letters, conferences, person to person communication and effective negotiation. One must give deep attention to the business communication skills in order to improve the results at personal and organizational level both. Similarly, managers must take a serious note of developing good business communication strengths while minimizing and reducing the weaknesses.
As far as my business communication skills are concerned, they are good at some points but they need improvement at some points as well. In order to catch such point, I strategically look at these with a deep concern.
I am good at many places in my business communication skills. First of all. I intend to evaluate my respective audience by their moods, understanding level, and context of the situation, etc. Secondly, I intend to be an active listener to engage the people in a quick manner as it takes two to make a communication, a sender, and a receiver. Thirdly, I have a strength that I can easily evaluate the mode of business communication and resolve myself according to that mode e.g. I adopt different tone in face to face conversation, speak differently while having discussion on phone and similar is the case with letter, emails, and other documents. This evaluation helps me to understand and communicate according to the situation in very professional outlook and depicts my competence to handle the situation even in complex matters.
In contrast to my strengths, I am very well aware of my weaknesses at the same time. First of all, I may lose my temperament while in a question –answer session and usually get nervous in such situations. Also, I am very well aware of the thing that I speak hastily and quickly sometimes, so I skip much detailed information that is normally required. Additionally, I sometimes ignore the proper communication in written documents, reports and emails. These are some weaknesses that I have assessed in myself so far in the business communication

Need of improvement but how?

A true business manager definitely needs to know about his strengths and weakness in all areas especially in business communication skills. If such business managers keep an eye on weaknesses, they may become a successful leader of the organization. This is the reason that effective business communication is required.
Yes, I am able to overcome my weakness in business communication skill. First of all, I have decided to review the written documents for more than one time in order to remove mistakes and errors. This will help me to communicate properly in my written drafts. Secondly, in order to avoid confusion status during question answer session, I will practice my concern subject completely and analytically to study all dynamics of the subject and then I will be confident to deliver and speak whatever I want during the session. Thirdly, in order to avoid quick speaking of words, I will speak slowly, tolerantly and good-naturedly. I hope, this will solve my weakness to a great extent in the future
