Business Leadership and Gang of America

Path Goal Theory is also known as leader effectiveness theory in which the leader’s behavior is found to be contingent to the motivation, performance and satisfaction of his sub ordinates as well. Vroom’s Contingency theory on the other hand talks about situational leadership which means that it is contingent to the particular situation. Every model can be counterproductive over time because the situations, preferences of leaders, motivation and performance of subordinates and intensity of circumstances keep changing. They might work or fail badly. Most of the times, the decisions depend on the information provided or available to the “leader” which might or might not clarify the vision. Things become easier if the knowledge is first hand and interaction is direct. Therefore there is not just one model which could be considered as the universal key. It is often suggested to use the combination of different models and theories to avoid counter productiveness.
Sergio Marchioness is the CEO of Fiat and Chrysler. Both US and Italian locomotive groups are known for the turnaround they experienced from bankruptcy to profitability. It was his leadership which turned both these groups of auto industry in to fastest growing companies. Relationship oriented dimensions play an important role in his success as a leader. There are some key features of his management style which help in easy evaluation of his personality and leadership qualities.

His office was at the floor where he could directly stay in contact with all the workers. He ordered them directly and examined everything himself without an intermediate personal

He abandoned the previous style of leadership in both the companies.

Every worker was considered a leader and had no exceptions regarding accountability.
He always stressed the merit instead of rank of the workers.
Competition is the rule of thumb for him in business.
His workers hence struggled for excellence over mediocrity.
His style is a testimony of his success. No one could ever imagine how Fiat and then Chrysler would become the powerhouse of locomotive industry but he proved it with his unique leadership.
The modern age is the age of technology. The development in digital science has just taken over every aspect of life. It has granted luxury to mankind but it has also eased the crime activities. Contemporary gangs are so much stable and settled as compared to those in past. They rely more on technology than their members. Hacking, cybercrimes, blackmailing, kidnapping and many such activities are increasing day by day. It is so hard to investigate in such cases because they leave no evidence or clue unlike the old gang culture. The easy and cheap access to the technology and social media has granted a safe side to such evil minded person which wasn’t a trend in the past. They mostly use online tools to plan their activities.
The topic of “woman” always enjoys a considerable place in every conversation and argument. It is a hot topic that relates to almost every society and they are often presented as victims of gender discrimination. It might be true for some culture but most are just manipulating this scenario. Women activity in gangs is significantly increased over the past few decades, and it has widely been reported by the leading news organizations as well .

It is easier for them to pursue and convince the target.

People usually fall prey to their physical appearances. They can easily distract.
Most of the gangsters look for the needy and suffering females who are in desperate need of money. They then readily agree to do anything for them even for small rewards.
Women involvement in gang activity has also increased the evils like prostitution, robbery, blackmailing etc.
