It is very intriguing to wonder about the life’s voyage sometimes. Life is a mystery that needs constant introspection to solve. Some people’s stories are filled with inherent struggle and learning lessons. One such story is of Alouboe Logossou. Sometimes, a different perspective into other people’s lives make a lot of sense to find out answers of our inner queries. In the never ending quest of finding out answers of life, a West African native person’s story seemed very interesting. Alouboe Logossou is from Togo. Migrating from a developing country to a highly developed country can be life altering. However, after the early education and higher secondary education in Togo, the destiny gave her an opportunity to become a part of America. She was the only girl in the family. She was the youngest, too. Being a girl in the environment like Africa itself is a challenge. She had two elder brothers to take care of her. Her father was very caring and protective of her. She was always very close to her father. Togo is predominantly depends on the agriculture. The weather conditions here are only favorable for farming only. The lifestyle here is not that advanced compared to any other reasonably developed country.
Her father’s love was the motivational force behind her development in life. Sometimes, the worst unexpected things happen in life that changes everything. Her father’s sad demise was one such event that happened when she was in grade 11. It was the most unfortunate event of her life. She was very close to her father. Now all of a sudden, she felt alone with burden of responsibilities of her mother and brothers. Sometimes, events like this changes the psychology of human being. Her life was very relaxed and joyful in whatever she had till now. But, after her father’s death, she is alone. There are only two options in front of her now, either she can give up and spend her life in grief, or she can pick herself up and fight the battle of life and move on. She chose the latter option. She gathered herself and decided to move to America to make something of herself. She knew, that her only chance in this world to lead a better life was to continue her education and make something of herself. Thus, to pursue the higher education, she moved to America.
What has influenced her development and progress in her life? The answer is hiding in the plain site. The hardships and struggle that she has suffered from had become the constant motivational force in her life. Whenever she was feeling low with negative energy, the memories of her father helped her to keep going. After demise of someone close to heart, people tend to become stronger psychologically as well as spiritually. People don’t respect the things that are around them until they are gone. Going and settling in an entire strange country with no connection and make way in the new environment is not an easy job. But, her determination was very firm and adamant. Her struggles were never over, but she was now ready for everything in her life. She became a learner from the past experiences of her life. That is what motivated her for every new adventure in her life.
