Such is enabled by the following aspects in the Act. The Act establishes health coverage opening to majority of the people who had no insurance previously due to low income. It removes pre-existing conditions to children under the age of nineteen and opened medical cover for young adults (below 26) who can be covered under their parents cover. It also removes the discretion of insurers to withdrawal insurances on frivolous grounds and gives one the right to appeal for any malpractice on the part of the insurers. Moreover, it bars premium increments; make the insurance spent the money on healthcare other than administration, offer emergence services, and offer preventive care at no cost as well free choice of the doctors. The Act in general removes the previous hurdles that barred the majority of the people from accessing healthcare.
Nurses have the following roles to play in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. First, the nurses have to use nurse-led innovations to deal with the increased demand for healthcare services in America. This might include home visits, community field days, and other viable means. The nurses have to offer evidence-based services by keeping the right data on the patients, as well as offering the best advice. Such guarantees high quality of the healthcare. In addition, the nursing training has to be changed to embrace the new changes brought about the Act. The nurse training programs needs to be expanded to cover the aging population, and also the number of nurses be increased to cater for the increasing demand of nurses.
