Violence in Movies

Violence in Movies
The topic of studying violence in movies has been increasingly popular in the world of cinematography, as the special effects that are now used are becoming more and more vivid. In this paper there will be analyzed the movie Lone Survivor that was presented to the audience in 2013. It has many vivid violence scenes that will be analyzed and presented below.
First, I have to describe the movie in general. There are solutions that change lives, and there are people who change their lives for the sake of others. Moreover, there are people who are willing to give their lives for the sake of everyone else - it is about these people that tells the creator of the film Sea Battle and Hancock, director Peter Berg, who filmed Lone Survivor in the genre of thriller, action.
In the Lone Survivor, four US Marines will be ordered as part of Red Wing operation, around which there is still tense debate, known to neutralize Taliban leader Ahmad Shah, but they did not fulfill this task (Berg, 2013). Instead, they will survive the nine circles of hell, trying to survive at any cost, overcome all obstacles and get home. It is worth saying that the price is very high - only one will survive, as is already clear from the title of the film.
Oddly enough, but in the movie, unlike other American fighters, there is not so much pathos, which is usually shown by others. Usually American soldiers are some kind of superhumans who are not afraid of anything or anyone, and after the most brutal battles, they tend to necessarily survive. But for Lone Survivor, it's not the case (Berg, 2013). We see quite ordinary people who just want to live. But, unfortunately, not all succeed. Although the heroes fly over the rocks during the battle as Supermen, but, nevertheless, it looks absolutely realistic - they break their legs and arms, but do not give up - take in hand weapons and continue the fight. Each of the team Navy Seals will defend his partner, forgetting about themselves - that is, real friendship. The cast of the film, and this is Mark Wahlberg (The Departed, Planet of the Apes), Taylor Kitsch (X-Men: The Beginning. Wolverine, John Carter, Battleship), Emile Hirsch (Alpha Dog) and Eric Bana (Troy, Black Hawk Down), absolutely truthfully showed the viewer the force of a male character, without too much American pathos, without politics, just correctly and truly.
History of the Operation Red Wing is told by the participant of those events - the only survivor - Rob Marcus (Mark Wahlberg). With an open fracture of one leg and with a knife stuck in another, he survived and walked to the nearest village, where he risked his life and the whole village to save a complete stranger, not only is he not an American, but Afghan Gulab, who also is against the war with the Taliban. Here it is - a real honor (Berg, 2013). And who knows, if Gulab did not help Marcus, would have survived the last one? In any case, now the viewer learns the true story of Navy Seals, whose families still remember their sons, and now their memory will live on in our hearts.
As the movie portrays vividly the war in Afghanistan, it is no wonder that there are many scenes of violence in it. The war itself is never deprived of the violence, and if we talk about some kind of enemy that are religious fanatics, like in the case of Taliban, the violence becomes even more horrible. The fact that it really happens in this world, and that it is not a result of imagination of some author gives this problem another light.
Now let us consider the causes of violence that are shown in the movie, Character, behavior, feelings and actions – all are laid in human from childhood (Chen et al., 2011). On how the family and the environment raised a child, his future life depends. If the person grows up among the love, affection and patience, in his/her later life for sure, there is a place for that feeling.
However, if the child grows up among violence, cruelty or indifference, it is likely that these feelings and actions he/she will feel for the people around (Bushman et al., 2013). The most important thing is ensuring that the child has a decent childhood, and then it will be much easier to restrain a child, teenager or adult person from committing unacceptable actions that relate to the deviation.
The causes of violent behavior can be considered as follows: biological, social, political, psychological, cultural, etc. (Romer et al., 2014). A child who is witnessing abuse, reigning in the family, as an adult, carries such abuse at his partner, spouse or child. Every generation learns violence if it grows in a family where there is violence. Teaching aggression occurs primarily during the observation of aggression from the parents. The result is high readiness for aggression in the conflict. And aggression - this is a destructive form of conflict.
As training of violence may be carried out through the "symbolic simulation", i.e. through books, magazines, television and video production. This form of training is almost identical to the efficiency of a living example (Baechler, 2013). The desire for violence increases also due to the so-called external influence. Person discovers and learns that aggression has obvious "positive" results when it comes to bring to heel or induce fear.
The roots of abuse are in male culture and male roles (DeBoard-Lucas & Grych, 2011). Model of explanation described above is primarily associated with a penchant for violence inherent in the child at an early age and depending on the nature of family relationships. Abuse, violence is a problem for men. Four factors that determine the male role underlie violence against women:

This assessment is reinforced by social forces such as video violence; violence in the media; violence that is allowed through, for example, the professional activities of police and military;
Stereotypes of social norms of a patriarchal society, claiming that men are the dominant sex and free reign in the family, social relations and institutions that govern our lives;

Excellence in physical strength.

For the Taliban that we can see in the movie such model of aggression is very often seen from the early childhood. We can even see it is the movie – when a man cuts off head of his enemy at one of the crowded squares of the village. It is shown that kids are also present and watch the scene. In such a case, they learn the violence as it is manifested in the society and when they grow up, they continue this violence themselves.
